strolling down memory lane...

and since it's me strolling down memory lane, forgive the pictures.
Although High School pictures are always good for memory lane strolls.

sometimes it's super hard...

sometimes i don't understand why...
or even exactly how...
sometimes i wish i didn't know or even care.

Most times, i just can't wrap my brain around it.
But every time i think of them, it's unbearable.

Then there are times when i'm glad i still have friends like these:

I never see them. VERY very rarely talk to them. But, they are there when things get rough.

And then there are time that i am so very thankful for GREAT friends like these:

They are there through thick and thin.
Always my shoulder to cry on.
Always there to lean on.

Life would be so much harder without them there.

A few more for old time sakes...

in all our glory ...

...and dorkieness

through good times...

... and bad times

.... and even more bad times to come.

speaking of which...
James, you rock!!!

here's to you...

I got a phone call this afternoon. The phone call.

My dear friend, Steve, has passed away. He's always been a absent part of my life, but always there. We've kept in touch off and on throughout our 20 year "relationship".

I hate that this is where it ends.

These pictures are so very old of him (us). It was the good ol' high school days.

Rest in Peace Steve. I'll miss you.

*Chris, thank you SO much for calling me and letting me know. I'm so glad that someone thought enough of me and our relationship to let me know. It means the world. And thank you so much for just talking with me.

I'll most likely be heading out tomorrow night. His viewing is tomorrow evening and his funeral is Saturday afternoon.

I need to be there.
My friends need me there.

another little guilty pleasure

I miss them already...

Brandy came down for a visit with their CUTE little family before heading up to Fish Lake. They came on a Saterday and left on a Wednesday. We had a great time. The kids were absolute angels and Drew fires up a great meal and Brandy... well, she heads it all. We had a great week of food, swimming, sleeping out, firetruck rides, jumping on the trampoline, dress-ups... the list goes on.

They are gone now, and my kids are bored again. And i miss my baby sis, Drew and the kids like crazy. I miss having my family around. You guys are welcomed here ANYTIME!!!

Now to get the rest of my family down here to visit! Kaye...? Ray...? The doors are always open.... I totally mean it.

all pictures courtesy of Drew and Brandy.
You guys ROCK!

still friends

It's been 6 months since the kids best friends (and the best neighbors ever) have moved away to Montana. The kids have been beside themselves not knowing what to do without Ali and Annie around to play with on a daily basis. So when we heard that they were coming back to Utah for a visit, we considered ourselves one of the lucky to be squeezed into their busy schedules for a visit.

We made sure we had the pool fixed up and ready for them. After all, it wouldn't be right for them to come and visit and not have a swim in their own pool. We all had a great afternoon of visiting and swimming. Unfortunately the time flew by WAY too fast and the day was gone before we knew it.
It was hard to say goodbye but we all left with a re-newed promise to keep better in touch with each other.
It was so hard saying goodbye again and the kids are taking it rough still so talks of trips to Montana are always at the tips of our tongues. We hope to make it a reality.

T-ball and the end of another season

Baseball season is over with. It seems like it was hardly even here. Of course withthe little T-ballers there isn't much of a season anyways.

I about died when i got Rianne's pictures back. Her team picture was taken before we got her hair cut. It really made me miss her long locks *SIGH*.

These pictures are from her last game (june 25th).

They had a big pizza party afterwards complete with trophies and their own little baseball to practice with. Their coaches put together the cutest little memory book for each of the kids. They were full of pictures taken of them playing throughout the season. Definately a keepsake. Their coaches rocked!

Hopefully next year Rianne will be excited to play again. Next year will be coach pitch. Hopefully she won't drop out like Daylon did. I kinda like to watch my kids at play sport functions.
