My little dancing queen

i was just going through the memory card on my camera and saw the pictures from Rianne's recital. Most of what was taken didn't work out. We handed Daylon the camera to take pictures. We still haven't figured out all the bells and whistles on it but it was also dark and we were so far away from the stage so most the pictures were terribley blurry. But there were a few cute ones. That, and all of those pictures of Rianne covering her face and the back of her head because she got sick of Daylon chasing her down to take pictures of her! LOL.

Anyways, heres a few pictures of her FIRST dance recital. I think i've created a few monsters. Rianne wants to take DOUBLE of what she did this year. So next year she wants to do jazz and lyrical ballet combonation AND pom pom combined with hip hop. Daylon decided he wanted to do hiphop after watching all the boys dance (I just hope i can get him in! they have a waiting list a mile long!). And Sam, he was just dancing and jumping away with all the music, it totally cracked me up!!!!!!

She had the CUTEST outfit! Bright green and black. She had a big fluffy tutu to go with it for the ballet routines and than black pants for jazz routine. She danced three dances! I think it was a bit much for those little tiny girls though. It started at 7:00 and we didn't get home till nearly 10:00pm!

and of course we couldn't leave without giving my little dancing queen flowers! Ok - so she wasn't so big on the flowers... she wanted to give them to everyone else.

All in all, it was a great time and i think i had as much fun as she did... maybe even more. We are SOOOO doing it all over again next year! As long as she's up to it, i'm up to it! And... i'm so super incredibly, if not privately, excited that Daylon wants to dance too. I'm really hoping he'll find something that he enjoys to do and looks forward to it. Hopefully this will be it.
