AE - A Week In A Life - Day 7

WOW! I did it. All 7 days. I'm actually feeling a bit lost without my camera with me ALL the time. Now to put it together! I can't wait!!!! Here is the whole process so far: Ali Edwards A Week In The Life
_______________________________________________

Here is day 7. A nice Sunday at home. It was a nice typical Sunday day. We spent what time we could outside since it's starting to get cool and was stormy a bit. The kids set up more halloween... spider webs to be specific. They love them but their dad loathes them. The best meatloaf ever for dinner... too bad Daylon can't stand it. Last chance at finding flowers not dead before too long and my newly cleaned and re-arranged kitchen.

Highlights of the last day:

Sam being a ham as usual. He had found the kids halloween vampire teeth and was cheesing them up

A nice Sunday dinner at home... at the kitchen table. It doesn't happen often enough. I do cook all the time but quite often the table isn't so cleaned off where we aren't fighting for space. It was nice to have it totally back for dinner again.

The view right outside my back door. It got cold enough Saterday night to put snow in the mountains. Add that to the fall quakey trees and stormy skies made for a beautiful sight.

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 6

A miserable drizzly day. Anything that was planned was pretty much put off for another day. The kids got out all the Halloween stuff. It was just a day of little errands run and vegging out. I guess you could say a typical Saturday.

Highlights:

Filled up the van with gas. Not necessarily a highlight but thought it'd be interesting to look back at this and see how much it cost to fill up a tank of gas. Actually really kinda scary looking back from a couple years ago. $3.67 a gallon ($3.65 using our maverick card).

a quick lunch at Subway. Definitely, hands-down, the kids favorite place to eat.

Finally getting down to my scrap room, even for just a few minutes at a time. It's been almost a week since i was able to do anything down there... it just felt good.

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 5

Day 5. I didn't take too many pictures. It was a friday and happened to be one of those lazy days. Daylon stayed home from school sick. He was actually feeling fine. Seemed to be just a little bug. Rianne came home from school early with a nasty cough. We are sure it's a allergy cough since DarRell came home feeling like trash from allergies too. I spent the day catching up on TV online that i missed Thursday.

A few highlights/favorite parts of the day:

Hanging out with Sam again. He never seems to want to just chill out when you do, especially when he's feeling much better, so i took advantage of it this time.

DarRell deep in thought while playing chess with Daylon (Daylon totally whomped his dad, by the way!!! GOOO DAYLON!). I love this picture, even though it's so dark and fuzzy, because his wedding ring gets me every time. I love a man who wears his wedding ring shamelessly! Coming from a man who hates jewlery, this is a huge thing.

Everyone went to bed early (DarRell with Rianne cause she wasn't feeling well) and i was bored so i decided to stretch out on my bed and read.

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 4

It was a rough day. But what a memorable one. I'm glad i've kept up with this. It was Daylon's championship soccer games so we had quite the busy night. Although he came down with this yucky stomach bug halfway through the first game. By the time the second, and final, game came around he didn't want to play because he was so sick. He ended up vomitting right before the last game and felt better enough to go out and play so he played 3/4 of the last game. His poor team was in sad shape. Of the 10 kids, 4 of them had this crappy stomach bug. One never showed. One didn't show till the last game and only because Daylon wasn't there by the time the last game started so the coach (it was her son), dragged him down and had him play (and he hated missing it all together anyways), Daylon finally made it after getting sick, and the last little boy was green and doubled over by the time trophies were handed out. And even through all the sick kids on the team, they still won!

Highlights:

First time out with Sam since he's gotten over his stomach bug. It was really nice not being grounded to the house anymore.

Daylon debating on weither to go play or not after getting sick. Little trooper ended up playing anyways.

Championship trophy!!!!! So happy and excited even through the green.

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 3

Here is day three. I almost gave up. It was just so incredibly intimidating to take my camera to work. Good thing i work at a most incredible place where the people are easy going and just plain fun. I almost wish i would have gotten more pictures but i was crazy busy the whole time and almost didn't get what i got.

A few highlights from my favorite day of the week:

My new up-do. I'm trying something new with my hair. I'm thinking of growing it out again but it's just too much for me. I really love the short hair but for some reason I'm always wanting to grow it out long. It's just long enough to be annoying but too short to do anything with.

A great day at work. Two great guys. One of them, the best boss in the world, and the other just straight up crazy fun. Wednesday just isn't the same without Joe, the auctioneer, keeping our bellies sore with laughter and Scott coming in to see if we make it through the day putting up with him.

A almost perfect day at work. Loving my job and doing it good.

(...and yes, Sam is still sick. He had us up bright and early, a full 30 minutes before the alarm went off yesterday (Wednesday) morning, throwing up again. We noticed today that his 2 year old molars are coming in. Hopefully (poor poor little guy) this will ease up and he starts feeling better, if this is what is really making him so sick. Anymore days of vomiting and I'm afraid I'll have to get him to the docs office since he's not eating a thing and barely drinking.)

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 2

Here are my pictures for day 2. Oddly enough, i picked out the same amount of pictures to use as i did yesterday... totally unintentional, but it works out perfectly. I might have to go this route every day for the rest of the week. We'll see.

A few highlights of yesterday:

My tomatoes are taking over again. They are as good as EVER. The best tomatoes in the world. I think i could live off them.

Chilling outside with Sam, who by the way, is STILL feeling crappy. I thought that maybe some fresh air and sunlight might do him some good.

I think i found a new favorite way to kill some time. Hanging out at Daylon's soccer practice on the grass and reading. Rianne hanging out with me, reading away too.

AE - A Week In A Life - Day 1

Here are the photos I've picked for my Day 1. I still haven't decided totally on how I'm going to put it together yet. I have a idea on what i want to do but i don't know if i can find what i need for it.

Just a few highlights of the day, good and bad.

*snuggling with Sam, who we thought was feeling better since he hadn't been sick for over a day. But unfortunately, he proved us wrong again yesterday afternoon and through the night last night.
*having all three kids by my side last night. A cozy, almost claustrophobic pile on that lasted till i sent them all to be.
*a quiet morning while the kids were getting ready for school and while DarRell and Sam slept in. I got my email read and places visited. Got my scrap space cleaned up a little bit.

I definitely want to put some news highlights in there like failing to pass Bush's financial rescue plan.
