ahhhhh...

green green grass!

4000 sq ft. of sod was delivered Friday evening just before 5:00. By about 9:30 that night, we layed about 1500 sq ft of it.

The next morning we got up bright and early and layed the rest of it with the help of Riley. We had it all down by 11:00 that morning. We spent the rest of the afternoon chilling out in the pool and eating.

The befores were taken Friday night and the afters were taken Saterday. It's greened up quite a bit since then and we've spent ALL our time outside since Finially getting it in Saterday afternoon.

the best part of summer...

Summer buzz cuts all the way around. Unfortunately, Daylon is the only one we got pictures of. Instead, just imagine all three boys lined up for haircuts.

LOVE this part of summer!

Busy Busy Busy...

No i havn't died... yet. Although i feel like i just want to after the end of the day. We've been busy... very busy. We've decided that we REALLY need a back yard for the kids to play in. Really, we do have a backyard but it's full of dirt, weeds and junk, but we really think the kids need some grass to play in. SO, for the last month we've been working on getting the backyard ready for grass. Putting in a sprinkler system, weeding, leveling, the whole bit. Who would have known that putting in a sprinkler system would end up killing us. Having to dig the whole thing out has put us in exhaustion mode every night for weeks on end.

Happily, that is all done now. The SOD!!! is being delivered tonight. All 4000 sq ft of it. Unfortunately the tiller decided that it had other plans though and the backyard is not tilled up yet. Only a small part of the back yard actually needs tilling but never-the-less, it DOES need to be tilled up so i'm not sure what we are going to do.

Grass will be put in though! Before and after shots to come... i promice.
